How often do we run into "strangers" who actually have one or more connections to our life? I don't know if that made sense... example: Yesterday my good friend Jordan aka Jock Strap was working at Starbucks in Provo. A customer came in and ordered some drinks. Jordan thought he looked familiar, like he might be my cousin. But she didn't want to say anything, since they've never met. Jill always used to show Jordan my cousin's e-mails he sent while on his mission, because they were more than entertaining. He is that funniest/most unique person on the planet. So after he had made a few funny comments, she really thought he was our cousin. Then she asked his name so she could call out the order when his drinks were done. He replied "George," and she knew it. Anyway, she asked where he was from and if he was stephanie's brother and the Decker's cousin. He was probably super-creeped out. Well-not probably-he definitely was because he told her that. hahah and who wouldn't be? (Love you Jor) That story made me laugh so hard, but mostly it made me wonder the previously asked question. If there was no such thing as pictures, facebook, emails, etc. Jordan probably wouldn't have recognized David and they never would have known. I bet we have more connections to people than we could ever imagine. It's weird to look at my friends on facebook and see what friends we have in common. Sometimes there are people that I never would've guessed knew each other. Like my aunt who lives in Kansas and is in her 40's is facebook friends with a girl from Salt Lake who is stalking the boy I used to like. (Not that I was lurking his friends or anything). And my cousin that I barely even know is friends with people I'm friends with. I always want to ask how in the world these people know each other. It really is a small world. Also, how do you ask someone who looks familiar how you know them without them thinking you are hitting on them? I always remember faces, but sometimes not their name or even how I met them. But "Do I know you?" sounds like such a pick up line. But I'm really curious now. How many people have I talked to or passed on the street who are friends of friends? The eternal question.

So true!! the tipping point (which i was reading earlier today) points this out. I love it. six degrees of separation. it's rad. love you bear.
Though I am the star of this blog, and I do sound SUPER creep (I really do TRY to be normal!) But here is another one! A guy at from back east who is 2 years older than me decided that he wanted to do an EFY road trip and work at sessions all over the country. We ended up doing one EFY session together in Provo and we gave eachother the nick names of "Mr Grumpy pants" and "Mrs. Grumpy pants." We became facebook friends but never talked after that week. Then in January I moved in with a girl who is 19 and we became facebook friends. Come to find out that he dated her older sister and they are still really good friends. How odd is that! I think it is....
